Advisor

You’re considering what comes next.

Perhaps you are still exploring whether cloud could create value for your organization.

Perhaps you have already decided that cloud is the right direction, but still need to determine which approach or platform fits your needs.

Either way, there are important choices to make before committing to a solution. We help you investigate those choices and make a well-founded decision.

Before the solution

What would make a choice worthwhile?

Cloud can offer meaningful advantages. It also introduces trade-offs.

Which of those matter depends on your organization, your current environment and what you want to achieve.

So we don’t start with a platform or a solution. We start by understanding what matters to you and what a better outcome would look like.

Sometimes that leads to cloud.
Sometimes to a smaller change.
Sometimes the best advice is to keep what already works.

How Advisor works

From question to recommendation.

We start with an orientation conversation to understand what prompted the question, where you are in the decision process and whether we can usefully help.

1

Conversation

Understand what prompted the question and where you are now.

2

Proposal

Define the scope and give you a clear proposal before investigation begins.

3

Investigation

Listen, investigate and work through the relevant options and trade-offs.

4

Recommendation

Explain what makes sense, why, and what deserves attention next.

The outcome

A recommendation you can make a decision with.

At the end, you receive a written, reasoned recommendation.

We explain what we found, which direction we recommend, why we recommend it and what deserves particular attention if you decide to proceed.

That may include a cloud platform and capabilities worth exploring further. It may also mean changing something else first — or not changing at all.

The objective is not to produce the biggest report. It is to give you enough understanding to make a well-founded decision about what happens next.

A simple principle

The recommendation is the product. It does not need to create another project for us.

We work for our clients.

Our recommendation does not need to lead to a particular platform, a migration or another project for us.

If we cannot find sufficient reason to expect that a change will leave you better off, we will not recommend it.

Experience

Experience matters when judgement matters.

A recommendation is only useful if you can trust the judgement behind it.

Our experience comes from designing, operating, troubleshooting and improving business-critical infrastructure in real environments.

Still exploring?

That’s enough to start.

You may have a broad question, a shortlist of platforms, or a direction you already expect to take. Tell us where you are and what you are trying to decide.
